Frequently asked questions

What income types do you prepare returns for?

We prepare returns for W-2 wages, Social Security income, retirement distributions, investment income, rental income, and multiple-state filings. If you received a 1099 or K-1, we can handle it.

Can you file both federal and state returns?

Yes. Personal tax preparation includes both your federal 1040 and any required state returns.

How much does personal tax preparation cost?

Basic 1040 preparation (W-2 only) starts at $125. Married filing jointly starts at $175. Additional income forms are $25–$50 each depending on complexity. See the full pricing page for all rates.

What documents should I have ready before my appointment?

You'll need your W-2s and 1099s, a government-issued ID, Social Security numbers for you and any dependents, prior-year return if available, records for any deductions you plan to claim, and any IRS or state notices.

Do you help with missed deductions and credits?

Yes. During preparation we review available credits — including Child Tax Credit, Earned Income Credit, education credits, and others — and check deduction eligibility to make sure you don't leave money on the table.
